Add to CartScapula and Arm Positioning on the Reformer
The human body functions as an interconnected system, with certain areas sharing particularly strong relationships. Training an athlete is fun and challenging. Each sport has a repetitive movement. Pilates is a great way to cross train as it will build strength, mobility, endurance, and will help prevent injury. This course will also take a look at the difference in training depending on which part of the season the athlete is in, and help guide a training program to help achieve maximum performance.

Add to CartThe 3-Dimensional Hip
In this workshop we will examine how to assess the common misalignments that present to teachers when the client arrives for a session. Usually, a class for a new client will begin with Reformer Footwork or the Mat class. It is important to discern if the problems that we see are biomechanical, habitual, or due to lack of embodiment. The ability to choose exercises that will bring client awareness is a big step in helping them to understand and to make the corrections that lead to success. If we start at the pelvis and hip joint, we are on the way to the organization of uniform muscle development that is a Pilates principle.
Equipment Needed: A mat, reformer, Cadillac or Tower Unit.
Do not worry if you do not have all the equipment- you are welcome to observe and practice later with the recording!

Add to CartAdvanced Reformer
Advanced Reformer – Focus on Flow presented by Courtney Weis
Flow is evidenced when you watch a body move quietly and seamlessly through the order with efficiency, control, grace. When we work with the transitions as “a part” of the exercises and not “apart “from the exercises, the power of the work is witnessed, movement quality is enhanced, and all the Pilates principles flow one into the other. As we move through our Pilates journey, we can get a little muddy, and we can start adding in or forgetting how to be crisp and clean and why it matters. Join Senior MI and Mentor Courtney Weis to infuse your reformer practice and teaching with clarity as she revisits the advanced reformer order and flowing transitions.
Equipment Needed: Reformer
Why should I take this session?
The advanced reformer level is achieved by far fewer students than is the beginner or intermediate levels and as a result we can get a little muddy in the technique. This is a great chance to gain clarity on the advanced work and understanding of why the details matter!

Add to CartSpinal Mobility on the Wunda Chair
Joseph Pilates famously said, "You are only as young as your spine is flexible" – a statement that remains relevant decades after it was first uttered.
